RARE YSL Prototype années 80 ?, Bracelet manchette large en létat avec outlet pierres précieuses chassées main

This is part of a series of cuff bracelets that I believe were used as inspiration and some are probably actual YSL sample prototypes. It comes directly out of the (work room) estate of a prominent YSL executive who was in charge of production and licensing. Each listing will have individual descriptions - so please read.

This reminds me of something Cleopatra or Shira would wear (Shira, princess warrior). It is lightweight and pliable, but bulky, chunky, it is metal of sorts, and in a silver color. The stones are cold to the touch and assumed genuine - they are not verified nor tested. The center stone has the metal frame work holding it in place, while the smaller stones look glued in, and its missing one stone. The design throughout is hand chased / handcrafted.

The design tapered, one side is wider than the other, and its rounded into the hand. See photos of me wearing it. I say best for a medium wrist, because on my 8-8.5 wrist it was tight and very uncomfortable. It is pliable but if you keep bending it (open and closing) i think it will break. I do believe this was initially designed for a smaller 6.5 maybe 7 inch wrist and was opened a bit, and then I opened it a bit more for photos. Once you get it, I suggest getting it to your desired fit and leaving it alone in that position. It has some bend marks, and the edge trim has gaps or light seperation probably from being opened and closed. Minor indents on top.

I believe this one was an actual YSL runway prototype from 1980s. It has a nice bali-sian middle eastern, vibe.

Has signs of age, wear, scratches and rubbing. Some discoloration on the underside.

Sold as is, with issues as noted above. Sold as parts or repair for crafters, upcyclers, designers as inspiration/ installation. This is a superb prototype. I am not guaranteeing type of metal or stones.
