DESCRIPTION

This is a first edition, second impression copy of this work published in 1927. 

The extensive work explores the history and tradition of famous English Hunts and hunting groups including The Whaddon Chase, The South Notts Hounds and The Duke of Beauforts Hounds amongst others. 

Sabretache was the pseudonym Albert Steward Barrow adopted. 

Complete with sixteen beautiful colour plates, including the frontispiece, of hounds and the rolling English countryside. 
Collated, complete.


CONDITION

In the publishers original cloth binding. Externally, generally excellent with a few light marks to the rear board and some fading to the spine. A previous owner inscription to the front free endpaper dated 26.10.50. Internally, firmly bound with bright and clean pages. Some light scattered spots to the endpapers.
