DESCRIPTION
A whimsical fiction about the planned town of Celestium by Australian architect and artist William Hardy Wilson, with 12 colour plates by the author, collated and complete.
Wilsons playful account of a journey from Prospect to the Cow Pastures is brought to life by the accompanying beautiful pencil and watercolour illustrations of colonial properties across Sydneys Cumberland Plain. Wilson was a large proponent of the US Colonial Revival style of architecture, and adopted a similar style in the design of homes and commercial buildings in Australia.
This edition limited to 600 copies, 500 of which were originally for sale in Australia.
Prior owners red pencil inscription to recto of endpaper M. Hamilton Mack.
CONDITION
